This bass started out life as a Fender Player Precision Bass in Sage Green Metallic.
Made in Mexico.
The Player series is an excellent platform for modding. Won't set you back much coin if you find one with good bones.
Previous owner to me started the mod process, with swapping to a roasted maple neck, swapping the nameplate on back to a US one, swapping to a mint pick guard, and adding ashtrays. I normally don't play with ashtrays, so those are being stored for the time being.
I took it from there, and swapped out the pickups for pair of used Nordstrand Power Blades, during which the volume pot was replaced as it was not working properly. I also added a Fender G&G hard case picked up on Black Friday sale, and Dunlop Strap Locks. Strung with Fender flats, which I like, but might swap at some point for my more favorite Sadowskys or Labellas.
Here's the results. The outside pics more accurately reflect the color of this bass, which I really dig with the roasted neck. Now plays and sounds amazing.
