And then be prepared to decide you'd like to "minimize" and sell your board and it's contents only to realize that this is an addiction and you'll be back for more.

I say don't bother with multi-effects. They sound like crap IMO.

Other than that, what has been suggested is what I would say. I love effects and integrate them a lot into what I play. I also haven't bought anything new in probably a year or two now. The staples of my setup are OD, Fuzz, wah, octave, chorus, and filter. You will probably need to search around a bit to find pedals you like. I use:

Ibanez TS-5 for overdrive
EHX Little Big Muff for Fuzz
Dunlop 105Q for wah
EHX POG for octave
BOSS CH-1 for chorus
EHX Q-Tron for filter

I like all of these pedals a lot, but you might not. Check them out if you get a chance though. You would benefit most from overdrive, distortion, or fuzz, most likely.

i got a bass big muff. sounds great. lots of versatility. plus, i can use it a lot in my metal band.

next. i think im going for en ebs octabass, a boss cs-3 compressor and a tu-2 tuner.

what are your thoughts on these?
