Welcome back. How much have you got to spend now? (-;
This forum definitely makes me spend a lot more but that’s because people are introducing me to some ridiculously excellent gear. While I don’t want to have a pile of gear, I do want what I own to have the most potential to make me play and sound my best. And I have to thank the community here for that info (and the entertainment). Thanks All!
TalkBass doesn't really make me spend more on bass gear, but it DOES enable me to make better informed decisions about what gear I DO spend my money on. It's a valuable resource!
My resolution this year is to stay the hell away from the classifieds.
I still drop into the pawnshops now & then, but nothing in there trips my trigger, I've become a bit of a gear-snob & difficult to please.
When the guy at the local music store showed me their new inventory for the year I had a "Oh no!" detail in my mind for every one of them, & actually blurted out a couple, LOL!
Today I sat here looking at GC & Sam Ash pre-owned inventory within 111 miles of me, nothing worth driving to see.
So I stayed home & played instead, it was a good day!
