No headphone jack...

Oops! I just got the amp of my dreams, a used Hartke HyDrive 115c (OK, so I have small dreams...) but after I got it, I realized that although it does have stereo aux inputs, it doesn't have a headphone jack. :hmm: My neighbors will hate me. I think if I get a 250W, 4ohm resistor and put it across the external speaker output (after unplugging the external speaker), then I can connect up some headphones through a potentiometer. I want to use the audio shaping controls of the amp, so I can't just get a practice amp...

I don't really know audio speaker electronics theory - maybe it would be better to put an 8 ohm resistor across the audio output - not to overload the amp? Still, I only need to set volume on 1 or so. I know if I put the headphones directly across the output, it'll blow them across the room!!

TIA,
:help: PattiM :bawl:

Aggh. I have a VMX100 mixer - I could maybe figure out how to use that. I want to get some feel for the tone shaping of this amp and I can't do that with a little headphone amp. Thanks for the suggestion... :)
