Seriously, I could have had this bad boy out in November if I would leave those “to good to pass up” deals alone. With the exception of the American SUBs, nothing I have bought comes close to this Geddy.

Yup! That bass is suits you. A great sounding J with a classic look.

Nice Bass. I've had mine for a few week. Amazing tone, feel and vibe.
It was a nice choice - showed off the timbre of the different ranges. That bass sounds good, nice demo!

You are right. It is perfect.
I like that pearloid pickguard. You need to see it in person.
It's the hard question to answer...do I get several low cost basses or 1 or 2 really nice and expensive ones.
I'm somewhere in the middle right now...one $150 bass and three $1000-$1200 ones.
I've had $3k basses and with the exception of my Modulus, they didnt do anything for me.

I mentioned something along those lines many months ago, but you wanted to hear (*read*) nothing of the kind...
I'd rather have a handful of excellent basses than a bunch of good ones. But some prefer a wide variety or just like to have a lot. No single right answer. I will say the "too good to pass up" invariably repeats itself over and over and over again, especially with inexpensive instruments. Another "deal" will come along any moment...
Also, vacuum is an under-rated percussion instrument

You hit the nail on the head! There is always another great for the money bass around the corner. Some really are great like those American Music Man SUB’s I bought, but most are just ok or good.
