Hey my dudes,
time for the cool stories.
A year ago I've saved from the german pawn shop a pretty f###ed up Spector.
I am normally a warwick guy, but my heart was really broken to look on it. So I've decided to buy it and restore.
Damn, a lot of time and effort (and money) were invested into it's restoration.
See some pics..
How it was before (trussrod was completely f###ed up as well):

some process..

and the result.. not all is optically perfect. But it plays and sounds really awesome!

It really worked out good at the end. all except the trussrod and trussrod cavity cover is original, which is nice..
here they are together=))

I do love those early NS4CR's. They sound incredible, but they did seem to have issues with them.

My 2nd one had a headstock face peeling up. Had to be glued and clamped.

My first one was a very early serial in the low teens. 4-5 months after buying it new, The truss rod popped lose inside and you could hear it rattle if you wiggled the bass. The dealer took it in shipped back to Spector, they replaced the bass. Afterward I heard the rods can be slid out and replaced(?). Don't know how accurate that is.

Nice work - but my eyes are drawn to that cherry streamer!
