Double Bass Non-Latex Bow Grips (Tubing)

I saw a bow this weekend that had a layer of lizard skin along the grip area of the stick. I suppose a small piece could also be applied to the frog where your thumb contacts it. Lizard skin is sometimes used as lapping, plus it's rather thin so it shouldn't inhibit vibration as much as latex.
