Nordstrand DC5 (bridge) + FS5 (neck) combo?

Hi, did anyone tried to pair Nordstrand Dual coil pickup on bridge and fat stack (or big single) on neck position?

Thing is, I owned DC5 set and haven't liked overall sound at all, but bridge pickup was great. Now I have Fat stacks and like them a lot in single coil mode, they are full and rich sounding, especially slap sound, but there is lot of hum when blending towards the bridge pickup.

I saw similar setup in Italian Laurus T900 XRS basses, and they sound great, at least on YT clips

I just tried DC5 + FS5 setup and there is too much hum when any of the pickups is in single coil mode, no matter of blend pot position. Laurus probably puts custom sets in his basses..
