Nordstrand Pickups

Hey tbers,
I'm buying an early MIJ Squire P from a friend and for an extra 100 dollars he is willing to include another pick guard and a Nordstrand NP4 pickup. I've done some research on the NP4 and haven't found that much information. Does anyone use the NP4 and if so is it worth getting with my bass.

I agree with Alex. Try and get it for under $100. I love my NP5 pickup.

I bought a Fender Standard P-bass (MIM) 4-string from GC this past November. Bought a NP4 pickup from Best Bass gear and had my tech install it. You will not be disappointed. Go for it! I used it on an outdoor gig this past Sunday afternoon paired with an Aguilar Tone Hammer preamp pedal. Here's my two-word review.....IT'S ALIVE!

I voted yes because I have Nordstrand P pickups in two basses, and they are awesome. Quality is second to none.

Caveat: tone preference is always subjective. A slight possibility exists that you'll prefer the stock pickup to the Nordy. That said, I seriously doubt it. I'd grab the Nordstrand!
