Not Your Typical Compressor?

For the purpose of sustain and low noise (and your requirement of only two dials) I would recommend you look at the Valbruch Quantum.

I wonder if you remember this pedal especially well? I certainly remember your review. Years later, it still sounds perfect to me.

On my multi fx box I've a few sims of old school compressors, but I never manage to get out of them what I imagine I would get out of this: a gentle tidy up for rootsy stuff on flats+alnico; something a bit more constricted when getting a more artificial tone out of steels+ceramic.

The two knobs, one switch design def adds to the appeal.
