Not your usual complaint about indistinct bass

Ok, it was indistinct at times and better at others. It turned out it improved when I could see the bassist's hands (someone's head obscured them at times). Somehow my brain was filling in the top end! I had no idea that was possible.

It can be disconcerting when we're presented with evidence that our perception is not accurate. Like when you see a strange sight and look quickly only to realize your brain created a fiction to fill your blindspot.
