Oh yeah! It took me a while, but over the summer I tracked down a used copy of "Electric Tonic" and finished off my collection I've gathered all they've released! If you are on broadband and have a little "know-how" easytree.org and etree.org have shows for the download (MMW has an open taping policy).

I love Chris' tone on "I wanna ride you" (just popped Uninvisible in myself) it's just nasty!

The only other MMW cd I have is Friday Afternoon in the Universe. I got that over the summer, right when I was starting to get into jazz...I think that's what really helped me kind of take the baby steps over from Rock It's still kind of daunting, what with soooo many decades of work of talent in the style of music, some times I feel like I just don't know where to go from there. But I really, really dig that ecclectic, chaotic sound I get from MMW. If any one has any reccomendations to any similar artists, I would sure love to hear them!

not to derail this too badly....

Chris Wood is a student of Dave Holland.... for more jazz then MMW try some of Dave's solo stuff. His 1973 "Conference of the Birds" is still one of my favorite discs to get lost in. Emerald Tears and Prime Directive are 2 others I listen to regularly.

MMW is an Organ, Drums, Bass group, others are around... one I listen to often is our own Mike Watt's currently gigging group "Second Men" Link Removed not really jazz... and it has vocals, but I dig it! Watt's got a killer tone.
