This thing rocks! I set the drive to about 9:00 to 11:30 depending on the bass. Tone and level near noon, and compressor on hard. It gets the kind of low-end density I've been missing, with a thuddy attack, a little bit of dirt, some extra clarity. Want less thud? Switch the compressor from hard to soft. It sounds great. It's replacing a compressor and a drive pedal on my board, so it simplifies my life. If you're a compression or dirt maniac, it's not the pedal for you. It's really more of a clean boost pedal with mild compression and mild dirt. I use it just to provide a little bit more of a powerful, even sound.
I'm going 32" Greco Spirits of the Live bass -> Tuner -> Sex Drive (always on) -> Flanger (never on) -> Broughton HPF (always on) -> Genz Benz Shuttle 6.0 -> Revsound RS 210. It's the most audible I've ever been, with a chunky kick in the low end that makes picked notes sound more separate.
I took it to a gig on Saturday. Got a little bit mental and argued with the drummer, but the rig sounded great.
Please excuse the non-original photo. That's what it looks like.
