Does just what it's supposed to do; mild Overdrive. I had to switch the trim pot to buffer, though. True bypass has the worst pop that I've ever heard! Satisfied, and looks sharp on the board!
If you like the pedal but are looking for a step up in quality and tone (and price if I'm being honest), the Wampler Tumnus is petty great. I had the BSF too and I really liked the character of the drive. The Tumnus is based on the same circuit as the BSF. I'm just mentioning it so that if the BSF becomes a big part of your sound but you are concerned about quality you have another option to check out. I personally really like the sound of the BSF too.
