NPD: Southampton All Things Equal Clean Boost/Buffer

The Fifth Gear is AWESOME with bass. Great low end. Its dirty though. Its almost an OD pedal. But man, when I kick it on in the mix, you know it. And it really makes my low end sing. I love that pedal.
after seeing your testimonial on the ATE, I may just have to get one. I wasnt sure if it was for me. But I think it very well could be. Plus I love the paint job

The input impedance spec on the Bajo Mos is * meg...I'm wondering what the input impedance spec on the All Things Equal is.
EDIT: Correction on the Bajo Mos input...I believe it's much higher, more like 20meg according to to spec sheet I have around here somewhere.

Haven't got to try it with upright (tomorrow), but I don't foresee a problem. I have so many buffers in my pedals and wirelesses that I can't see how it would cause one, and I've yet to have a pedal that caused a problem with upright. No idea what the input impedance is, but if someone will tell me how to set my $20 RS multimeter and what to touch to measure it, I can attempt to measure it.
I do think you'd like it if you like the Bajo Mos, though. The only thing that might make you prefer the Bajo Mos is that it has a lot more gain past unity on tap. But for my purposes, the ATE has plenty.
I'll try it later tonight then. Honestly, though, I don't use it on upright, but I do take requests sometimes, so I'll see what happens. My pickup is a Clef Revolution Solo II if that makes any difference to you.
I love my Fifth Gear, I chose to go that route - actually, with a custom double Fifth Gear OD - as opposed to the ATE, and I'm very happy. Really nice boost with an edge of dirt that drives other pedals well and makes the sound richer, IMO. As others have said, Hamish seems like a super nice guy as well. For the price, I don't think you can go wrong trying any of his pedals!
PC, just tried the ATE with my upright (Upton Hawkes, Clef Rev Solo II) and nothing else in line, and it worked great and sounded like it does plugging straight in with a short cord.
I can call his and ask what the impedance is if anyone really wants to know...
I use it to balance out active vs passive basses so they are at the same volume, just one way, another is to use one as your regular volume and the second as a boost. Since its an always on, red or blue
The two volume thing is the same as any other booster with one volume, except it's never off. Just set one knob to one level, the other to boost, and it's the same as any other boost.
Even with one of the levels at unity, this is super useful when you have a very long signal chain. I have tons of buffers but still use an always on clean boost at unity (SFX Micro EQ) early in my chain to remove tone suck. The ATE would be a perfect replacement for that but I use it for something else
Thinking pretty hard about picking one of these up because I just don't have the time to complete my own boost build.

Just ordered one of these. Maybe twice a night I need to be able to boost signal for a few seconds and then turn it back down, but it's...awkward. This looks like it will definitely be a hundred bucks' worth of convenience.
Used the little guy last night; I actually wish it was a little bigger, it's kind of a small target when you're in the thick of things. It does work like a charm, the cleanest of clean boosts.
Yeah, I've come to find that these mini pedals have a tendency to flip if you're not sure-footed and it's not anchored down well. Plus they are small targets and you kind of have to watch yourself if you have two of them together. OTOH, they sure do save space, and I've figured out how to keep from flipping them or tripping something else accidentally. Most of the time
