Wow! I had high hopes for the White and it’s totally blowing me away. Copy/paste from TGP:
It adds a really sweet grunt overall and pushes the mids forward without getting the typical nasally mid-boosted sound. Pleasantly ballsy is how I would describe it, meanness without being harsh.
Tom was right that bassists will love the Omega setting, but the Alpha sounds totally massive as well. The scope of interaction between the knobs really feels vast on the White, even without changing the toggle setting.
The range of the Grit knob is perfectly suited to a dirty boost pedal, this is not an overdrive or distortion. At higher settings it sounds downright tubey.
I was GASing hard for a Brute and Limited Edition Yellow, but the White is certainly going to hold my interest for the foreseeable future. Tom wasn’t kidding when he said this is a great always-on pedal.
I’m extremely pleased with the White and looking forward to spending more time with it.
