NPD!! Vick Audio Black Russian

So I've had more time with the Black Russian. What a sick a** muff! I don't think I'll ever have a need or desire to look further. The bottom end is massive on it and it fills space out wonderfully. It's not as articulate and clear as say my wood chipper but that's mainly because I keep the tone dialed back to 1 o'clock or so. I'm really happy I ended up getting one. And that I made the decision to delve into muff fuzz again. I disliked muffs for years and the Black Russian has made me really happy.

I'm ressurecting this thread so that I won't need to open a new one.

I've seen some videos on the Black Russian and I've really liked what I've heard. But at VA they have the new 1860 muff that's based on the Civil War circuit.
Has anyone tried on of these on bass? I've always liked the super creamyness of the CW and have been GASin' for one of these Muffs with mids pot, like the SUF Civil Unrest or the Grey Stache (although I've liked better the videos on the SUF).
But this pedal from Vic Audio seems a good option and more affordable as well.
I know that the VA Black Russian gets some love around here, but I'd like to hear some views on this one. Thanks!

I dont think you'd be risking much if you took the chance if no one around here has played one. His pedals are pretty awesome for the price. I plan on snaggin a few of his pedals again in the future. At least the Black Russian again. I had an EHX sovtek at the time I had that and an A/B test, to my ears, it was a VERY close clone. Almost every nuance was the exact same. He really nailed it on that one so if that is any indication of the rest of his body of work, I wouldn't have any issue buying any one of his pedals sight unseen.
