At least, and I stand to be corrected, there should be a lot less opportunities for GAS with your new instrument...and for sure that's a lot easier to haul to a gig than a full bass set-up!

Is the split in that one spot something that would negatively affect it? Looks like it would be a dead note, but then it’s so straight maybe they cut it that way.

It's a dead note. I'm going to see if sealing it with white glue will do the trick. If not, no huhu... it'll look good on the terrace wall.
