NPTBDX2 peavey peavey t40 t45 day

new peavey t bass day x two


just picked up today

both are amazing

both feel good in the hand, aren't anywhere near as heavy as had been made out to be on here

the t40 is sound heaven

the t45 will fit some cool segments of my playing

love em already,, played both for about 4 hours today (the first day I had them)

both sporting chromes

truly intrigued by the t40 settings--will take hours of fun just messing with that--it sounds amazing

I've had two, traded two. White/rosewood (10.4 lbs), natural/maple (11.8). LOVE the tone, and didn't mind the weight, but I just couldn't get used to the flat fretboard. I liked the idea of a T-40 more than I enjoyed playing it, but if it feels good to you, don't let yourself or anyone else talk you into letting go of one.

Very nice! I have an '82 T-40 & an '83 T-45 Great underrated bass.

I'd also recommend checking out these vids that go over the setting combinations to emulate different basses here:

Ok... you've got a liner in one of your cases... and all the original knobs.... that's all it takes to make me salivate.

One little mod I did to my cases... put a little stick on felt on the case where the neck sits, otherwise you end up with a rough spot on the back of the neck between the 6th and 12th fret.

Congrats!! Years ago I played one in store locally by me and even though she was beater her tone was luscious!! Yep it's was very heavy and that's what kept me away but thanks for the post as now you cleared the myth of their weight.
