I'd try DeOxit next if it was still putting some audio out, bit I haven't gotten any signal since it went kaput

Waiting for NS tech support to get back to me, the first line of support said since this is an older model, the board is harder to repair/replace and they needed to escalate

Ah ha, got it! NS support was kind enough to send a diagram of this older CR4Ms preamp so I could check all the connections

The wire to the preamp was about halfway off, which I couldn't fix before, but I managed to fiddle around and get it to go down to about 3/4 and got audio again

Asked them if I can get a replacement preamp ribbon cable so it doesn't rattle loose in transit, which is likely what happened here, and sharing that diagram here for any other older modeo and owners that may need it
