Took the new NS to rehearsal last night - along with my trusty EBMM Sterling. Ended up playing the NS for 3 hours straight. Played it like a bass guitar - fingerstyle plucking. Sounded very good and was very easy to play - eventhough the neck is so much wider than a 4 or 5 string bass. I started messing around with tapping and chord shapes this morning and was able to get basic right hand major and minor chord shapes figured out. My problem will be getting my left and right hands to act independently.
Overall - the NS is very well made and fun to play. It won't replace my basses right away - but I will enjoy experimenting with creating music in a different way than I am used to.
