NSD!

I did check the specs on US Speaker and cab size for a whole bunch of Eminence 15s and guessed it would work well and it does. That cab was designed for an Eminence speaker though not this one.... 🤷‍♂️
Eminence makes 15” speakers that might work great in that box as well as some that would be abysmal.

Just because the box originally had an Eminence speaker in is and assuming any Eminence speaker would work well is an absurd conclusion imo.

My guess is that this was designed to fill the gap when Sunn no longer used JBL drivers. K140s and E140s also sound amazing. But they are getting really pricey, as is reconing, given that factory kits are no longer available.
That’s not from the era where that would have been a successor to any JBL’s used(D-140, D-130), i.e. the 70’s, it look to be newly manufactured, with a label from this new revival company stuck on it.
This is what the OEM drivers, made by Eminence, looked like:

…found loaded in the 215B cabinet(with the port running up and down one side), usually paired with the solid state Concert head.

Yes... It actually seems to work quite well and it sounds great to me. It might be the wrong thing to do to a few of you but I just wanted to share my experience.
