Nut Width for Jazz Bass

Hey everyone...Hope you're all well and enjoying a great New Year!

Does anyone know of a good reference point detailing standard nut widths for jazz bass necks? I'm curious as to what the skinniest neck Fender has made was.

Don't think they ever where anything else but the standard 1.5" (38 mm), but of course the width vary to a certain degree from bass to bass.

If you mean thickness front to back, it's a whole other matter.

I saw a vintage advertisement from Fender stating a 1-7/16" width

My Precision neck is 1.5". I often wonder if it started off life as a Jazz neck, but never got blocked or bound. Poor thing.

I have seen early 1960 Jazz Bass necks with 1.45 nut widths.
