I'm using Fender pure nickel rounds right now. fairly worn in. Also have a piece of weather stripping inside the bridge cover.Nice. What strings did you decide on?
FYI...switched over to the heavy (49-109) LaBella's. Wow. Just wow. Yes they are big, but not djfficult to play. Tone is bigger, clearer and smoother than any others i have tried. For the first time in my 40+ years of bass playing, the G string doesnt sound wimpy. PBass heaven.
