Double Bass NXT4 string identification

Hi,

I have a quick noob question for the experts.

Is there e a visual difference between the NS contemporary and traditional strings? I am trying to identify a set of strings on a NXT4.

I had the standard stock strings replaced with traditional strings on my NXT 4. The colors on each end of the strings seem to be the same for each set. The main difference is in the diameter of the strings--the traditional are noticeably thicker, but if you don't have both to compare, guess that won't help you. The difference seems to be somewhat like the difference on my upright bass and my bass guitar.

Did you buy the NXT new or used? If new, I believe they're strung with contemporary from the factory. If used, unless the original owner switched out the strings, I think they'd still be the originals.
