NYC / CT / Fairfield County original band needs bass

Hello ladies and gentlemen!

My band The Bird Index needs a bass player. We've recorded two full length albums but the problem is we're just two people. I have an excellent drummer, and I played everything else on the album including bass.

While that is fun, it means we can't gig - and we want to gig. Looking for a solid, melodic bass player. Not looking for someone to "play what's on the record" - you'll have freedom to come up with your own lines for existing songs as well as contribute to songwriting going forward if you want. Backup vocals a huge plus.

Influences: Beatles, Radiohead, Flaming Lips, Wilco, Spoon, They Might Be Giants, Pink Floyd, Ben Folds, all sorts of stuff.

We're in the Stamford CT area.
