Octave/Fuzz Decision

Yup, the Oxide is a great choice too - for probably less cash you get a smaller pedal that has more sounds and does a decent job of the Brassmaster sounds. Great company too. If you want the original sound, maybe the Black Cat would be best? The B:assmaster is great, but I believe has a few tweaks away from the original. In the end this circuit doesn't really matter if it's exact, they all sound really similar. More value for money go with the Oxide.

I bought a silicon B:Assmaster a few months ago and I'm still on the fence about it. There are some really cool sounds in there, but it seems much quieter than my other fuzz pedals. I find it sounds better with something else after it to give it a boost.

I tried using it live at a show but shut it off after one song because of the volume dip. I haven't given up on it yet, but I'm currently not using it.

IF you are looking for a fuzz and an octave what about the Red Witch Zeus Octave/fuzz? From everything I've read it's an awesome pedal.
That one is an octave-down plus a fuzz in a dual-purpose box, it isn't an "octave fuzz" like the black cat and the b:assmaster are, which adds a chimey upper octave to the fuzz sound.

Must be something up with it then, it should rip yer face off with volume.
