Octave Muliplexer question

Hey, sorry if this has been discussed but I couldnt very easily find an answer in the search.

I recently grabbed an EHX multiplexer from a friend, it has an effects outut and a dry signal output. What can i do with the dry output?

bass->multiplexer-EFFECT SIG->MXR Fuzz->BF-2->FX loop
.......................-DRY SIGNAL->Bass input

would i be able to wire it like this, and have both an effected signal plus my dry bass signal? My only concern is that there is no "send", just a "return" in the effects loop on my amp this way.

thanks a bunch

I used to run the wet and dry outs on my BBM.
The dry out went straight to the board via direct box and the wet signal went the rest of my effect chain and then to my amp.
This way I had a wet channel and dry channel on the board that could be mixed however it needed to be.
I don't use my amp's effects loop, so I'm probably no help.

Amps effects loop not intended for stompboxes, but rather for rack effects. Go from bass, to effects, directly in to your amps input. The dry out is useful only if you want to split your signal BEFORE it goes to your amp, but woould need to be "re-mixed" before the amp.

Boss LS-2 if you want to mix signals, but probably you wont use dry output of Multiplexer, but run affected and dry signal in paralel, using both channels of LS. Or you can use it as mixer, i guess it will waiste less cables, but you need something to be plugged in power output of LS.
