As someone who owns, and loves, a whammy, I still disagree. The 2 octave up setting on the whammy doesn't sound anywhere near as good as the POG. And I have owned well over a grand (closer to two) worth of EHX stuff, for several years, and have yet to have a single one crap out on me.

Is there such as thing as a fast tracking one or two octave-up effect pedal? In some songs, I'd like to double my bass sound - current clean signal, doubled with clean or distorted "guitar like" sound through a box. Or maybe a midi pitch sensor that I could route through a midi tone module, also to double my current clean bass sound?
The baloney that surrounds most pedal descriptions is incomprehensible to me.
