So i have just recieved an OS from the mailman, and as i open it up from all the protective bubble wrap (it was very well protected, but obviously not enough from the craziness that is Australia Post) i notice that the left knob is bent. upon further inspection i realise that i can no longer "click" down on the left knob to access paramaters. Has anyone had this happen to them? was it an easy fix? should i open the box up and fiddle around and try and straighten it out?

Any info would be much appreciated.

If the mechanical innards of the switch are damaged, that's going to be tricky, i.e. Replacement
However, ithe problem might bedue to the bending of the shaft: maybe being bent, the edge of the plastic knob is preventing you from pressing it down far enough. Try straightening the knob and hopefully you'll be able to get enough vertical travel
Otherwise it's a replacement switch

Thanks jjclr. I have taken the plastic knob off and it still wont click. so im hoping that straightening it will fix it. but if not i would imagine it would be hard to replace or finding someone that would be happy to replace it. I will open it all up and see how bad it looks on my lunch break.
