OD Pedals & Active Basses

Is it safe to say that a cabinet with a horn/tweeter is less desirebale than a standard speaker with OD assuming that the overall tone has some high frequency components?
i.e. - speakers sound better with distorted bass than tweeters?

Some guys actually get used to and like that fizzy tone that comes from distortion through a full range system. To each his own.There is really no right or wrong. Still it would be safe to say that the "majority" of OD, fuzz and distortion boxes that have been around for years were voiced in the idea that they would be used through a conventional guitar speaker cabinet. The guitar speaker is an important tonal component for both bass and electric guitar.
