Does anyone know what the big dial on the back of the 6x10 classic does? Im unsure what to set it at.

I am already a member but my gear has changed quite a bit recently. I am now using:
SVT-CL
SVT-210 (x2)
SVT-115
I have beed gigging a Markbass F1 head with my Ampeg cabs for the last year or so and made the mistake of trying out a used SVT Classic earlier in the week. Needless to say I now own it! Gigged it for 6 hours yesterday and it blew me away. There is something to be said about a good tube head.
The F1 is just over 4lbs and the SVT is 80lbs!!!! Worth the bad back though! ;-)

Here is a list of my Ampeg gear.
1. Ampeg B100R blue diamond series combo amplifier (Great for practices and small to medium sized venues. You can line out to the PA for more volume. Very nice for a solid state amp with vintage looks and sound. I paid $220 for this one used a few months ago but in brand new condition.
2. Ampeg SVT 410 HLF Bass Cabinet. Heavy but easy to transport due to back bar and large rear casters. Also very nice classic looks and sounds great at all frequencies. Ports at base and tweeter horn too. Very nice cab and you don't need a truck to move it around. I paid $475 for a preowned one last month but in brand new condition.
3. Ampeg SVT II PRO Bass Amplifier. Pure 300 Watts of pure tube power with excellent vintage tone that can be modified with graphic equilization and full tone controls. Gain and Drive controls give that classic warm, creamy, fat tube tone we all love! I paid $799 brand new online for this one last week!
