I have a recently rebuilt B-15NC I'll take a picture later today and post it to the thread. I used it to play in clubs from 1973-1980. We found a transformer for it last year so it's now back in working order. This is a picture I found on the web to act as a place holder until I get my actual pics taken and posted.

Does the SVT-Pro III 450W with the tubes in sound as good as an SVT? My current Ampegs just can't compare to my old SVT tube heads that I use to own. I feel I have to break down and just go back to one of those "Super Heavy's" I just can't seem to get that "Sound" back.

No comparison. SVT III is ok, but no where near a SVT.

I just put a SVT4-Pro with the blue lettering (not the newer ones with the chrome letter a ) on layaway for $600 out the door. It worked perfectly and sounded great. But I hear I should've checked if it was USA or vietnamese made.
I figure at this price, who cares. They have a 30day return policy on used stuff.

So what's the deal with Viet made?

Oh yeah...I'd like to join the club...# please

I quite playing for 10 years and when I got back in I tried to recapture that SVT tone I grew up on.
I went through a SVT 3pro , a SVT-CL,then I added a SVPCL pre amp to the CL ( pretty much a SVT-VR)and the tone got closer but still not there.
I ended up junking it all and got a real SVT.
Tone bliss once again.

blue face eh, that's at least 8-9 years old. You're good, it's a USA model.

Ampeg update.

I picked up a USA V4BH.
And a USA B100R.

I run the V4BH through a Fliptops 1x15, or my 6x10 classic.

The B100R Is a big surprise.
This combo kicks ass.
Does a nice job, thinking its a B-15. (Nice tube tone for SS amp)
