An ABM900 is more than enough! Not sure if I can join since this is only the head but here's the new rig.
Abm900 Eden XL115 (8ohms)
Hey guys. So what are your opinions about the Ashdown rm 610t evo?
Is the contruction good? how is the tone? is it loud compared to others 6x10´s?
I´d be glad if you share some expiriences because there´s too little information about it.
That would be this one.
Thanks!

Oh yeah. I just saw your photos at page 22. Sweet rig!I have the 210(x2) and 410(x2) version of those. I think they sound great. I moved away from the ABM 410 because of the weight. Nice and clear, not muddy or too rumbly. Fantastic cabs for the money. Construction is solid on all of my cabs. If it wasn't for the size and weight of the 610, I'd probably have some of those too!
I have no idea about the efficiency honestly nor do I have experience with Hartke. I've been playing through Ashdown for about 10 years. One option could be for you to get a 2nd 8ohm 410, assuming your 410 is 8ohm now. Then your head would run at full power, you would be pushing more air and the speakers would be up higher to your ears. What kind of head are you using?Oh yeah. I just saw your photos at page 22. Thank you.
The thing is I have a Hartke 410 (aluminum cones) and I want to upgrade. Initially I thought about a decent 4x10 (Eden) but then I found this 610 and thougth. Why not? This brand seems nice and moving more air would be usefull. (guitar and keys through PA, loud guitarrist through 1x12 with 70w and a loud drummer.)
My aluminum cones aren´t happy when I push them and I have had trouble being listened. So I expect a 6x10 will do the trick.
Are these speakers efficient? Mine are 98 db supposedly.
How much of an improvement would be this RM EVO coming from Hartke´s XL line?
I don´t know. I want to change from the aluminum speakers. I don´t love the tone. That´s why I´m looking for something different and hopefully more powerful. Plus I´m not sure 2 4x10 would fit in my hatchback.I have no idea about the efficiency honestly nor do I have experience with Hartke. I've been playing through Ashdown for about 10 years. I´m using a Crown power amp 370W @ 8 ohms. 650 @ 4 ohms. Bridge mode. 8ohm 1300W and 4 ohm 2100W.
The ABM 410h or the RM 610t are the ones I´m considering.
Yeah. It´s a BBE acoustimax. It´s actually really nice. It drives the power amp perfectly. 0.7V output. Are you using any kind of preamp?
Man that box looks good on that head. drool
Hello everyone,
I want to ask you for your opinion. I use an Ashdown ABM EVOII paired with an ABM 410H EVOIV. I'm really happy with the sound. However, the cab is really big big for most of the pubs I'm playing lately. So, I want to include a new cab to the mix (I will also keep the 410H). I want a 2x10 or a 2x12. I've been looking for an Ashdown VS 212 cab but I cannot find it anywhere (I live in Spain). So I was thinking about getting an ABM 210. However, the 210 is rated 300W, which would be fine, but using it with the 410 I've heard from people far more clever (in this topic) than me that it would not "be fair" for the 410, because it would receive very low output. Even though I love Ashdown, I wouldn't mind getting other brand (like EBS), but I'd rather get an Ashdown. Could you guys recommend me a cab? Would be fine with the 210 (abm or rootmaster, both rated at 300w)?
PS I don't want to get an 115. I like them too, but I don't like mixing the 410 and the 115, even though many people do it.
I love the VS cabs and im just running an ABM 900. Not the tube amps originally designed for themRecently got my first all tube bass rig:
Ashdown Little Bastard
Ashdown VS-112-200 cab
GREAT sounding rig that works great with my Hofner Club bass!!
If you can find one of the VS 212 cabinets, I think they actually sound great with the ABM 410. It is a very different sound, but if you mix them well you can really get a lot of creative tones out of them. That being said, it just depends on how much power you're really looking to run. I've also used 2 410's and had substantially enough powerHello everyone,
