Disclaimer: I have no experience with the Super 24 or the Big 24.
I started this journey with the SIX10 (wanting an EIGHT10 but "settled" for the SIX at the time). That cab is earth shattering. Just like Alex said, no need for the Eight, get the Six.). Love it!

THEN, I wanted a smaller grab-in-go so I got the TWO10. Love it too. Amazing volume and depth from a small, light cab.

THEN, curiosity killed the cat, so I sprung for the massive EIGHT10! That thing will knock down walls.....break floor joist...keep up with ANYTHING.
Amazing...but truth be told, I will probably never take it out of the house. Maybe on special occasions and big outdoor stages.

THEN, I always wanted a Super Twin. That one just struck my fancy and I wanted to try the 12's. When it came, I was thrilled and the volume, depth and size/weight ratio, but I secretly liked the smoother tone of the 10's. (All my cab's have no tweeters. I'm old school and just don't need them)
I liked the 10's especially with overdriven/distorted tones.
THEN, in came my Trickfish 1.5K. That amp shed new life into the Super Twin. It will smooth out anything. That on top of the SuperTwin is mind blowing.

THEN, last week, I saw the 2 x15, 30:24 was announced.....I ordered that too! I have it bad. I may move something when it shows up. Possibly the Two10, but it's so small, light and cute.

All this to say, they are very addictive and you really can't go wrong with any. They will all go very deep and shake the earth. Yet clear and very strong.

Thanks for the insights. I had thought about a 210, but my discussions with Alex pushed me into the 12xn territory. Even so, i bet the 10 cabinets would fit my hi gain amp like a glove. Hey, you might appreciate this - i got my Two Rock / Krinard bass head! That is the reason i want a barefaced; to bi-amp with my tt800. The Krinard is a brutal distortion voice, while the tt800 carries the low end. I've got a mesa 215 which sounds great for either, and i think a barefaced would carry the other one.

In my mind, i think barefaced for the low end from the tt800, but maybe i use a barefaced 210 for the Two Rock and Subway 215 for the tt800… either way, i'll want a barefaced cab.

Let me know if you wanna sell a cab once the 30:24 comes! My wallet is waiting patiently. 😇

Here is a pic of the Two Rock - it was done on a Silver Sig chassis, and i still need a new faceplate (working out a name for it still!) so it is just a raw upside down chassis for now…

Very close to a really good PA subwoofer, but with more clarity - better than most band-owned PA subwoofers (again very subjective).

No problem down to A0, just a matter of the space you're using them in and the SPL of the rest of the band.

Outdoors on a big stage with a Very loud band and not in the PA - you'd better ask Alex.

Depending on the balance between the clean / distorted overall sound that you're after, you might consider the Three10 or Four10 cabs.

You make a really good point… I had been thinking I love the way the Mesa sounds distorted, but people have been praising the way the 10 inch bare faced speaker cabinets handle distortion. I do think the 215 has enough low end for almost any situation, so maybe I should start my barefaced journey with 10s.

Thank you. That opens up possibilities. I do still want one of the big series, but maybe I can save that for after a 310… Your feedback on the super 24 is really helpful as well.

Seems like I'm pretty safe which ever way I go. No surprise, given what I am reading!

Play a Six10 with a 5 tuned down to A and it has all the punch of a sealed cab with the big bottom lows of a ported cab. Phenomenally clear and articulate, takes dirts incredibly well. Had been considering going the Mesa 2x15 or 215 route before this, but have zero cabinet GAS right now except for a pair of Two10s to have 2/4/6/8 combination possibilities... though I doubt I'd ever need anything bigger than the 610.

Ugh, i have a live recording gig in Aug and can't get a big twin in time even if i pay expedited. :crying:

I'll have to get something here in the US. Maybe I will get lucky and someone will put up a Big Twin or a Big Baby in the emporium? I guess even 610 will have some serious low end, but i need that low low (this gig is modern Hip Hop, like E-40, so I really need to have the sub frequencies boom!)

If anyone knows of a cab that is as deep as these Big series cabs are, lmk! Or, if anyone wants to sell me a cab at full price, i'd be willing to work something out. I really wanna come correct… 🐋

I'm in Richmond. I have a One10T and a One10, which is what you're looking for for your situation, it seems.
I play in three rock bands and they're plenty loud and low. I don't feel comfortable lending them
out, in any case. No offense. I hope you find what you need. I'll be rehearsing in Oakland at our sub
drummer's studio this Tuesday evening for my Allman Brothers tribute band, with his Mesa bass amp and
cabs.

Super Compact or Super Compact T for sure.

If you only do low volume stuff, the SMT would probably be fine, but won't have the thickness in the low end like the SC(T).

That's kind of how I figured how it works. I've only got a SMT, and while I'm never in want for more volume necessarily, there is a point in which the tone starts to sound decidedly "boxy". A big part of me is secretly considering adding the 15-24 to my collection for what I suspect is the most "MBOL" high volume double bass tone out of the barefaced line, but am having a difficult time justifying the expense when there really isn't a necessity.
