I called MusiciansFriend and they matched the Music123 15% off deal--and their shipping charge for the item I ordered was $5 less ($6 compared to $11), which is why I called them. Nice deal.

Nice luck-out. They flat refused to stack discounts for me (Schecter's also 10% off, an identical deal to Fender's, so that's where that 10% came from). I'll give it another try later. [sigh!]

It's not so much as I want the bass, but I want the deal.

I mean, it's Black Friday and you're supposed to come home with a big dead deer tied to the roof, right? Don't go to bed skunked.

the deals i have seen in the houston area do not look special , in fact looks the same as the labor day , 4th july etc sale ( and fender has no price drop on its basses).... ugh lot of marketing hype by the machine
