There is an Aguilar OBP-1 in the classifieds I an thinking of picking up for my new JO5. Has anyone used one of these?
It comes wired with 25K pots. Does anyony know if thats what Skylines come with?

the 25k pots are exclusively for active basses, a passive bass can have either 250k or 500k pots, the passive skylines usually have 250k.
it has the right pots for that preamp though.
i bought a tonehammer that should be here this week, that im gonna use with my JO4. it is based off the obp-3 preamp.

Had our first big show with the new band this past Friday. Went wonderfully well, maybe 125-150 people in there (not bad for a first showing at a dive bar), even sold a dozen or so CDs 
I got compliments all around about the sound of the Lakland, even from the soundguy.

If I were not GASSING so bad for a fretless 5er, I may have gone for that....would be nice.....gotta keep focused:
1) sell DJ5 and frettless 44-02
2) buy fretless 5er (hopefully US!)

Working on it... The singer and I are not happy with the mix, so we're going to take a stab at it when we get a little time. I really wasn't comfortable with us selling what we already had, but our "band leader" insisted.
