The 'stache is cool, but them Flamin' suspenders are the bees knees man.:bassist:

ok, and unexpected action shot. Had rehearsal late afternoon in Hollywood, then went to Burbank to meet some friends for dinner. I went straight from rehearsal and I never leave my basses in the car so I brought my double gig bag into the restaurant and leaned it against the table while we ate and talked. Oddly enough there was a house band doing the typical blues thing - and actually they were pretty good. Definitely a cut above the typical blues/rockish bands around town. During the break one of the guitarists was making the rounds talking to patrons (I'm terrible at that - never do it at gigs). He saw my gig bag and asked if I came to sit in. I said no, I just had come straight from a rehearsal to dinner. He asked if I wanted to sit in, and I never turn down a chance to play. So after a few songs into the next set he asked me up, they called Superstition, I asked what key, and we were off. Actually I find this type of situation to be one of the tougher one. You walk up cold, have to find a pocket with new players and someone else's gig, say what you need to say, then you're done. Was fine but I should have played the fretless for better effect. Oh, and I'm wearing my Roscoe shirt as well :p

Way to go man! Seriously, for me, that situation is the most fun - I enjoy that whole "fly by the seat of your pants" thing that doing a sit in/jam night thing.

Cool pic Todd. I've got ultimate respect for a man that carries his Roscoe's and camera where ever he goes! I certainly don't blame you for not leaving them in the car!

Larry, all the best to you with the PCS. Side note....I chose to stick with the civilian life, but my Dad is a retired 1SG. I have a very special spot in my heart for cats like you, Scott, and even Jon :ninja: :D. Thanks for all that you do.

If you've got 'em, I'd love to see more pics of you and the mighty Roscoe(s), and it probably goes without saying...but I'd love to hear 'em too.

P.S. FWIW...Jon and I shared a coupla' years together in high school. His lovely wife, too. I kid because I can say I knew him back when he was wielding an alto sax and I was doing my best to keep drumsticks in my hands.
