The funny thing is that we can not comment thus issue on the IK forum, they will just delete out posts! 
And they sure as hell aren't commenting here. I'm disgusted with IK and their lack of customer service. So much so that I've completely stopped using their app, and as soon as I get the Apogee, I'll be ditching the Irig, too.

This just boggles the mind.
The update didn't change the underlying DSP.
If your AmpliTube sounds different after updating, then there could be some other issue going on, settings reset perhaps, so contact [Invalid or Expired Link Removed] and they'll help you straighten it out, and take note if there are any new issues to be aware of.
Also, keep in mind that the IK user forum is not intended for Tech Support, so again, contact Support directly instead of posting Tech Support issues to the forum. The forum is maintained, so that means posts sometimes get moved to the appropriate sub-forum, or removed altogether if they are outside the scope of the IK forum. Thanks for your co-operation.

Unfortunately, "outside the scope of the forum" seems to be anything that disagrees with IK's sales pitch.
Any mention of other apps or Amplitube failures results in deletion. It's a shame, because you've missed out on some really good real world suggestions on improving your product. Instead, our comments are swept under the rug.
I get it though, I really do. IK wants the money. Simple as that. Why should those teenage bedroom guitarists be pointed in the direction of something useful when IK can soak them for the latest relabeled fuzz or chorus pedal?
Many of us have already given up on IK, and moved on. I'm one of them. After spending over $100 in Amplitube to upgrade, I've deleted it in disgust.
I now put my money into Jamup, not only because it sounds miles better than Amplitube, but because they listen and stay connected with their customers. We don't get deleted by Positive Grid.
When we message them (or start a thread here), we don't get ignored. Positive Grid actually joined Talkbass just to participate in our thread, and have already implemented several of our suggestions. Not only that, but instead of giving us the same "you'll have to wait and see", only to see six more of the same pedals we already have, they've come onto our thread and given us screen shots of what's in the works!!

Am I the only one who finds it a little ironic that a rep from IK comes into Talkbass to tell us to contact their tech support after deleting threads on their own forum? Maybe it's just me...
I've contacted tech support directly (about the B15 model in particular) and received a reply that you guys know what's up. There was an update, but it wasn't to actually fix anything, it was simply to pimp re-skinned gear.Sorry Brian, but even though my time with Amplitube has been fairly limited, I've worked with it enough to know I won't be spending any more money with IK Multimedia. I'm just thankful I haven't put as much $ into it as Rip has... twice if I remember correctly, since an update wiped out his previously purchased gear (?). Word of mouth is a very powerful thing, and what I've been reading in these threads and experiencing for myself is more than enough to convince me that moving forward, Jamup is the way to go.

Well, I've put as much money it is actually possible into Amlitube iOS. I bought everything you IK guys gave out some of it out of curiosity and some due to the totally lack of bass gear. I've tried everything with the bass.
My motivation using any gear from IK MM is converging to about zero, and for me your product was the king of the apps. The reason I bough an iPad etc.
But after a while waiting, waiting, and waiting for something to happen.... Nothing happens. More guitar gear, more guitar gear and some empty promises. Brian/ Obi told me/us to come up with suggestions in your forum. So, we started a new thread in your forum, tried to stay active, our posts didn't survive... Missing in action some will say. I do not like to be handled like that. I'm a product developer and well aware about most aspects regarding designing and analyzing products. Ignoring your customer is not the way of doing things. Yes, you try to protect your product by eliminating threats in your forum, but in the long run? I think you guys made a mistake here. We are taking our tone seriously. We actually thought we could base all our work around Amplitube iOS, we were wrong, but luckily it didn't matter as Positive Grid did some amazing things with the tone in Jamup XT. We have a real dialog with them, they fix our problems and want to improve their product by supporting us bass players.
Remember Brian, this group here in this thread is not young, we have our share of experience in life. We will not go bananas if you gave out a Metallica pack or such in order to impress us. Btw, nothing wrong with Metallica, but as Rip say IK multimedia maybe is trying to appeal more to 15-16 years old teens then to us.

We don't have any reskinned gear. Each model is unique and modeled on actual hardware we meticulously measure in our lab. If you haven't seen it yet, you really should take a look at our gear collection in Italy.
Anyone who is saying that the new models are "reskinned" or "relabeled" is spreading false information. A simple comparison between the models dispels this notion. I am curious as to where you got that from...

Despite the false claims about AmpliTube that often accompany sales pitches for a competitor, AmpliTube remains the top guitar & bass ampsim app on iOS by quite a large distance, and for good reason. That is not going to change any time soon.

The false claims you repeatedly post that are intended to promote other products at the expense of our business are what are confrontational and vague.
Amplitube is not the top bass ampsim since 5 weeks ago when Positive Grid fixed some "minor bugs". Maybe you sell more but your tone is not the best right now. I've used Amplitube ios for 3 years now, I'm quite sure I know how it stands against the competition. I also have lots of Ampkit gear and now Jamup gear. You guys have one great amp, the B15R, the SVT CL is fine, and so is the Marshall lead.
Jamup have 4 greats amps, a SVT BL which sound way better then your CL, the lovely SWR Redhead, the GK RB800 which is the sound of the 80s and the B15 which is at least as nice at the B15R.
But then, Jamup have the BDDI and lots of additional guitar gear which sound great with bass, the Plexiglass, the JCM800, the JCM900 and the Hiwat 103. With the Audiobus and Multitrack DAW Amplitube is the second best bass ampsim.
How are they false claims? We haven't said anything that isn't true.
Maybe you did make new models instead of reskinning the present models.
That doesn't say anything about your relationship to your customers. Why do we as bassists continue to be ignored by AT iOS?

We have no interest in promoting anything that do not serve our group here best. We do not earn any money out of it. We jut try to figure out where we shell spend our money. We are not endorsed and are totally free of any commitment then our own tone.
And only the Blueline in Jamup SOUNDS like an Ampeg.
I personally don't care for lip service. Who cares if its officially licensed, it's the tone that matters. If a free app arrived (hey wait, Jamup was free!!) that has the tone I want, that's what I'm using.
Putting Slash's or Jimi's name on it means squat on stage.
