Oh my!! Devon!

The Low End had a table at a recent Guitar Show in Columbus, so I was able to get a feel for a Diamond J similar to that one. It had a Burl Willow top and an Ebony (I think) accent line between the Burl Willow top and the Ash body. It also had a Wenge fingerboard. I didn't get a chance to plug it in, but it surely felt great. About the only "negative" thing my friend noticed was the edges of the frets were so rounded that the B and G strings were sitting a little too close to the fret edges.

I also saw the bass you posted, and it looked great. I assume it's very much like the one I played unplugged, so they're definitely worth a look.

He's about an hour from me, only builds so many basses a year and takes all orders at once, when he reaches a certain number, you gotta wait till next batch, which could probably be months away. Oh, and he does build 7 strings, there's one(a Grace) on the cover of his brochure.
