Ohm

Don't be a doodoo. Good question, though.

Hey, sooner or later that was going to get asked.

I know it.
You know it.
The mixed cab police knows it.
Everybody knows it.

Let's just get on with it and enjoy it while we can.
There's a new mixed cab thread due any minute now anyway...

...Or was it best tort for metal? It's hard to keep up with the schedule here.

A little respect please. @BassmanPaul has been at it since both of us were in three corner pants.
Yes, I have been reading posts from him and others about matching power to drivers for years. Sorry if it came off as disrespectful.

I feel that it is just one approach, and not always the best one. Sometimes letting the cabinets have equal power is valid, sometimes it's better, depending on the drivers and cabinets. Even among some 410/210 combinations. Like so much with bass amplification, it depends on the specific components and the desired effect.

I feel the equal power per driver position is often advanced as "the right way" instead of "a possibly good way" and I let my frustration with this bit of TB conventional wisdom show. As long as your not dumping too much power for the speakers into a box, or bottoming out the drivers, the only rule is if it sounds good, it is good.
