Ohms Question

Genz Benz Uber 212 which is 4 ohm and Genz Benz Uber Quad 1288 that is 8 ohm. I also have a Shuttlemax 12.0 that I can run both cabs on each their own channel with the Max. I do have a few other amps that are nor dual power amped. Hence the question.

You certainly can run both using the Shuttlemax 12.0. I'll bet that they could be balanced and EQ'd to sound great AND downright bone-crushingly loud. I've always wondered what the 1288 would be like. Do you use it a lot? Like it?

You could always slave the power amp from one of your other amps and run both cabs that way.
Running both cabs from a single source would result in your 4 ohm cab receiving twice the watts as the 8 ohm cab. Probably not ideal.

True, but with the 2 channels of the Shuttlemax, he doesn't need to slave or be concerned about load/power imbalance.

That was always my understanding with the Shuttlemax 12.0 is because it has two separate power amps that it will allow you to run a 4ohm cab on one amp and an 8ohm cabinet, if you choose, on the other amp as they are completely independent of each other and non-bridgeable. As far as if I have run the 1288 yet, it is due to arrive tomorrow morning so I am wrought with anticipation. I am a Genz Benz man to the core.
