oil finish?

I'm completing my first bass, (in the finishing stage) walnut and buckeye burl I do not what to go the poly route nor the lacquer route. what would be the steps in finishing my bass with oil? tru oil or tung oil? and would that be a wise choose? any help will be great. thank you

I'd vote for tru-oil . I've seen many wonderful examples .
A lot of my wood turning friends use it

Tru-oil is great stuff

Better than a straight oil finish because it dries better and is far more protective
It also feel *amazing* on a bass neck

I would suggest you consider a good quality Danish oil, especially if your not looking for a shiny finish, which several coats of Tru-oil will give you.
