They are definitely not paying taxes on her, but then again, she's working illegally, so the restaurant needs some "insurance" against her getting caught, deported, and they getting fined or something. Generally all labour laws are moot when the labour itself is illegal.

Win-win, i say, unless she can get a better paying job elsewhere.

She needs to go through student employment at her school. They are usually good about finding jobs for international students.

It sounds like a risky game for both your girl and the restaurant, but if the legal hammer starts swinging, your girl will be taking the hardest fall. IMO, not worth it.

Maybe just you should pay her for her services in your house. ;)

You know, that by far has got to be one of the most unnerving visual contradictions that I have ever seen in my life!! One exceedingly cute Asian gal holding up a pic of Eric's arse, it's like you're both shocked and awed while in in mid hurl.... weird man, just weird..

yep if a foreign student works illegally than he/she is deported right away from what i know. however student visa does allow students to work for restricted number of hours in a week. the restrictions are detailed and often differ at various levels say UG, PG etc. from what i know for UG students, they can only work on campus for first semester or two and then they can work off campus. the working hours are limited to 10 or 20 or something a week
but if she works without any real paper work then its illegal no matter what and often employers take advantage of the fact that the person is working illegally and do not pay as promised, etc
