Love me some rosewood, maple, bubgina, ebanol, pau ferro, diamondwood(soon), all kinds of brands, and styles.....

I did nearly buy a shortscale pink sparkle bass the other day, and tune my guitar almost an octave down, with flats......

+1. I'm right there with you, Mike.

My guitarist has 19 guitars but only ever gigs two or three of them. :eyebrow: I have six (almost seven -- where's the UPS guy?) but have gigged every one of them over the past six months or so.

I always play at least two basses at any gig, and rotate the #2 bass quite often.

I like "playing the field." It helps keep me open to other tones and styles. Plus I've been married for 12 years -- not much variety there, LOL. ;)
 
I'm definitely a member of the poly club. Ash, alder, rosewood, ebony, maple, single coils, hummers, BRING IT ON! Different tools for different jobs. Although there ain't much you can't do with a decent PBass and a little imagination....
