52 y/o absolute beginner here. Got a Harley Benton J-bass clone (JB-20) and a HB Beatbass a couple of years ago. Currently going through the Bassbuzz beginner course. Enjoying it so far although it’s a struggle at this age. I love music, anything from Beethoven thru Bowie to Beastie Boys. From old school punk and ska, downtempo chill-out electronic to Black Sabbath and Irish traditional. There’s something to learn and enjoy in almost any genre. I’ve been noodling with all sorts of instruments; tenor sax, tin whistles, clarinet, guitars for 30 years but now with the bass, I’m more comfortable than ever. I’ll probably never get to jamming level but there’s no goal other than having a good time. Here to get inspiration from others. Name’s Thomas.
