Old-school sound, lightweight set-up

I've been trying to achive similar tone in the past three years.
started out with a Markbass head and their sealed 4X10 Classic CL104 cab.
very punchy but too mid scooped and aggressive for 60's tone.
got an SVT15E cab, this one had loads of mids, brought me pretty close but I wanted something that sounds tighter, a little bit punchier - with stonger low mids and less emphasis on the high mids.
ended up getting a pair of DB112s two months ago and I love them for the modern take on a vintage tone thing.

btw, I use a Bass VT in the signal chain, works charms for bringing the "thump" out in the tone.
