Old SD QP J?

I recently bought a bass with an added J bridge pickup.
It's supposed to be a Seymour Duncan Quarter Pound, but the corners are rounder than on any J pickup I've seen.
Is this an early SD, an aftermarket cover or something completely different?

Looks like a weird cover, especially that the pole pieces don't seem to fit the holes.
The sticker on bottom of the pickup "3BR" most likely means "SJB-3 Bridge".
