Olinto Flats vs Deep talkin 760 FS

Hello,

Looking for feedback from players experienced playing both the Olinto Flats and Deep Talk 760 FS ( 45 65 85 105 ). Preferably from players who have played significant time with both.

I am starting this new thread because much of what I find online is either from players who just ordered them, have limited time playing them, or are comparing them to a vast array of other bass strings. I am seeking only the input from players experienced in these 2 string sets, nothing else.

I am finishing up a custom P bass build and need to decide which flats to go with.

I've had the Olintos on a J bass for a few months and have used the DTF sets for several times over the years. The Olintos are a touch brighter with a bit more high mids than the 760 DTF. In terms of stiffness, the Olintos are in the range of the DTF FL and FS sets.

if you are competing for volume in a loud band, then Olintos. for cleaner stuff, the DTF are smoother sounding with a slight scoop.

I play in a rock band. I want to string my p bass with flats for few songs. It sounds Olin's are the way to go. Thanks for sharing your inputs!
