Did anyone mention Perpetuals as an alternative?

What are your thoughts on their pizz sound? I’m interested in buying a set but haven’t found much info about that yet.I’m using a full set of Flexocore Deluxe strings and I love them on my carved bass. They bow so well. Lively is the term I can describe them with.
I like the D and G a lot; and I love the E and A under the bow, but they seem to lack a little something pizzicato. I don't know what it is about them. I am going to keep the D and G on my carved bass when I experiment with a Spiro Mittel and Weich E and A later this year (I have both and I want to see which one I like the most). I'm going to wait a bit to try it out though as I'm working through some arco repertoire that my teacher gave me before he auditioned for and got into the Air Force Band. So I'll be looking for a new teacher as well after we get my daughter moved into her dorm later this week. Empty Nester here I come! What are your thoughts on their pizz sound? I’ve used the whole set of FDs, which I really liked as a arco set, but that was too much tension for pizz. I settled on FD D and G with 3/4 weichs for awhile, which I thought was a good mixed used set. Also somewhat tight, but if you like a lower string height, I think you can find a balance between comfort and volume. What are your thoughts on their pizz sound?
